Custom Drapery in New York
Custom drapery for New York’s interior designers and architects — from Manhattan apartments and Brooklyn brownstones to Westchester and Hamptons houses — fabricated by hand in a trade workroom that has served the design community since 1985.

Recent New York drapery work
Our New York drapery work with designer Mark D. Sikes includes a room at a Manhattan decorator show house — drapery hung alongside wall upholstery and custom seating — and a Manhattan apartment where drapery was paired with woven-wood shades across the living and dining rooms. Drapery made to your specification
We fabricate window treatments to your drawings, fabrics, and finishes — pinch and goblet pleats, ripplefold, inverted and special pleats, and hand-sewn details. Each treatment is measured to the opening and constructed for the way it should hang and draw.
As a trade workroom, we work from designer-specified materials and collaborate directly with your team through fabrication, delivery, and installation in the New York area.
Why designers work with us

How a New York drapery project runs with us
Drapery for New York is built to your trade specification, not bought off a catalog. We work from your elevations and finish schedule, confirm yardage from the C.O.M. (customer’s own material) you ship to the workroom, and field-measure every opening — whether it’s a tall Manhattan window wall or a Hamptons sliding door.
Panels are cut, pleated, and hand-finished to hang and draw the way the design intends. We then schedule installation across the New York area, hanging, dressing, and training each treatment on site.
Frequently asked questions
- Can you fabricate drapery for tall Manhattan windows and unusual openings?
Yes. We regularly build to the oversized window walls common in Manhattan towers as well as the bays, French doors, and angled openings in Brooklyn and Westchester houses. Each panel is sized to its own field measurement rather than a standard width.
- Which drapery styles do you make for New York designers?
Pinch and goblet pleats, ripplefold, inverted and special pleats, and hand-sewn details — lined, interlined, and weighted as the specification calls for. New York designers typically pair these with our shades and bedding from the same workroom.
- How does C.O.M. work for a New York drapery order?
You specify and ship the face fabric and any lining to our workroom against the order. We verify yardage against the drapery drawings before cutting, so a New York designer can confirm the goods are right and reserved before we begin a Manhattan or Hamptons treatment.
- Do you install drapery throughout the New York area?
We measure and install across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester, and the Hamptons, coordinating building COIs and service-elevator access where needed, and dressing each treatment on site so it draws cleanly from day one.
